Composite veneers are thin pieces of specially shaped composite material that are affixed to the front of teeth in order to improve the appearance, colour and shape of teeth. If you have very discoloured tooth, with chipped edges, or if they are unevenly placed in the teeth arch, or they have holes, dents, or if there are spaces between teeth, then one of the possible solutions for you is using composite veneers.
In some cases it is better, or only possible to put non-metal ceramic composite veneers, because over time composite veneers can change its colour and it’s not as sturdy as ceramics, and since there is no grating it cannot hide larger problems.
The tooth is firstly isolated from the saliva and blood, then treated with acid, and by using a connecting agent it is finally treated with the filling that hardens with the help of the polymerization lamp. After having obtained the desired shape, filling is finally fine-shaped and polished.
No grating of teeth is necessary, and it is fast and relatively cheap solution, and it will take just one appointment with us to make it!
Ceramic veneers are thin pieces of ceramic specially designed and affixed to the front of teeth in order to improve the appearance, colour and shape of teeth.
Is this the right solution for me?
If you have very discoloured tooth, with chipped edges, or if they are unevenly placed in the teeth arch, or they have holes, dents, or if there are spaces between teeth, then one of the possible solutions for you is using ceramic veneers.
Grating necessary is not so extensive, a lot less than for the standard metal-ceramic crown, which makes it quick and painless offering a perfect esthetic procedure that is lasting for 5 to 15 years.
They are better than composite veneers because composite ones eventually can change colour and they are not as sturdy as ceramics, and since there is no grating – they cannot hide larger problems. They definitely strengthen teeth.
According to the model print, technician creates an artful veneer that is then bonded to the tooth after the preparation period, and until then the patient is wearing temporary veneers.
Ceramic crowns (cover)
Ceramic crowns are “caps” placed on the tooth to protect it from cracking, and so they can return its functionality and thus offering the prettied-up version of the smile.
There are two types: metal-ceramic crowns and metal-free crown made from ceramics. Metal ceramic crowns are solid and esthetically acceptable. All-ceramic crowns are even more esthetically acceptable solution.
If you have a tooth that has a large filling or the one that is loosened by caries and if the filling itself cannot solve the problem, then you can consider choosing crowns, metal-free or metal ones, depending on the situation in your mouth and your needs, requirements and possibilities. If there are more of these kinds of teeth, or if some are missing, it is possible to go with metal-ceramic or non-metal ceramic bridge and implants.
Bridge is a construction that is placed over grated teeth in order to strengthen, reinforce, and embellish them, and it can also compensate for the loss of one or more teeth. Bridge can be metal-ceramic or non-metal ceramic. Metal-ceramic bridge is solid and esthetically acceptable solution that is financially affordable. Non-metal ceramics are esthetically more beautiful, and it’s made with the special technique, using CAD/CAM computer-operated system with a specially adapted apparatus, thereby making it more accurate and avoiding the factor of human error.
Ceramic bridges are prosthetic replacements that compensate one or more teeth that are missing by faithfully mimicking the appearance and function of natural teeth. If we do not make up for missing teeth, there is a possibility of displacement of the remaining teeth, and the development of periodontitis and the loss of proper bite. Bridges can be metal-ceramic and non-metal. Non-metal ones provide a high level of esthetics, and excellent tolerability and firmness of tissue. They are manufactured using precise, computer-operated procedures that reduce any chance of errors.
In the case of the lack of a large number of teeth, the right solution is getting dentures. Given that the denture is a mobile tool that is removed from the mouth, patients have trouble adapting to it therefore there are various ways of making it as well as that of the retention in the mouth (buckles, crowns, implants) that allow more comfortable carrying.
